For the second time in the history of our company, Becker is holding an international product design
competition for young designers. The occasion is our 75th anniversary. We have worked closely with
great designers for many decades, and we greatly appreciate this creative collaboration. Therefore,
we have decided to sponsor an award for young designers in honour of our 75th anniversary:

The BeckerContest 2011.

We want to give students and young designers the opportunity to explore the world of moulded wood
and to present themselves and their ideas to an international jury and professionals from around the world.
To mark our company's 50th anniversary, we sponsored a similar competition, where more than 400 young
designers from around the world participated. The competition attracted a lot of attention from universities
and the media, with all agreeing that it was extremely fair and professional.
