Alfredo Häberli

After studying industrial design in Zurich and working at the Museum of Design Zurich, the Argentinean opened his first design studio in 1993. Alfredo Häberli has worked for Alias, Authentics, Edra, Driade, Luceplan, Thonet, Zanotta, Classicon, iittala, Joop!, Leitner, Moroso, Offecct, Volvo, Camper and Luceplan. His pieces have been exhibited in numerous exhibitions throughout Germany, and he has received many awards in the course of his career. In 2006, he was the guest of honour at the 20th Design Biennale in Kortrijk, Belgium. The book Alfredo Häberli Design Live was published in this context. Interestingly enough, when Häberli was a design student 25 years ago, he participated in the first Becker design competition.
