Since 1982 Professor Dieter Zimmer has been an industrial design professor at Muthesius University in Kiel, Germany. He started working as a guest professor at the China Academy of Art in Hangzhou, China, in 1997. Zimmer is the co-publisher of international magazine of design, md, a member of the board of trustees of the Stankowski Foundation, a member of the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) selection committee and is a consultant for design-orientated companies in Germany and abroad. His projects have been published internationally and have won a variety of design awards. He has been a member of more than 50 design juries in Germany and abroad.
